Gauge is not crucial , alternate yarns can be used, may however effect the yarn quantity required, and size. Instructions for both 4ply & 8ply pattern versions. Directions included in pattern to upsize your cowl, with both yarn & Hook variations.

*pattern uses approximately 150g+
H/5.5mm or J/6mm hook
*100g/400m skein approx, Fingering ,(4ply) #2
*pattern uses approximately 80g-100g
G/3.75mm or G/4mm hook
